Eurochocolate is an annual event dedicated to the culture of chocolate, which is held in Perugia in October and Modica the month of March.Designed by architect Eugenio Guarducci in 1994, the event, one of the most important in Europe
[citation needed], is an appointmentdevoted entirely to chocolate Italian and international tradition, attracting many tourists and chocolate manufacturers artisan and industrial selling their products in the city streets in the exhibition spaces equipped. During the event are arranged several events, shows and cultural activities with animating paths tasting, performances, happenings in the streets, squares and luoghid'arte and tradition of the historic city of Perugia.
Among the major events, the show of chocolate sculptures, where skilled sculptors working cubic blocks of chocolate of 1 m³ of volume, to obtain works that will remain on display throughout the duration of the event.
Through the special section Eurochocolate World, the show gives a voice to all the world's cocoa producing countries, which have Rocca Paolina in their habits, customs, traditions and typical products of cocoa. The event enjoys the patronage of the Ministry of Productive Activities and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, support and patronage of ICCO (International Cocoa Organization), the leading global organization with headquarters in London cocoa producers, processors and final consumers of chocolate. The event is also sponsored each year by major leading companies in various markets, as well as all the major companies making chocolate.

If you are true lovers of matter, you can avoid this exhibition: many of the products sold in the stands (as Novi, Lindt, Cameo, Nestle, Toblerone, Milka ...) are also found in shopping malls of your town and decidedly cheaper prices . If you instead attracts the idea of a trip to Perugia, I would advise you to avoid weekends,  probably because rimarreste bottled in highway and you should endure long queues to enter the city and to assist each " Event "in the program.

The gastronomically most disheartening moment of the event is the chocolate sculptures, some several kilos heavier blocks are placed in Course citizen and sculpted by some artists. Meanwhile, the public is counted by the greed of chocolate flakes that detach from the blocks, reaching up to collect it from the earth (we can imagine what great quality chocolate may be a suitable to be carved ...).
